Pay schedule
The practice runs payroll through Gusto on a twice-monthly schedule. Paydays are set in advance and stated in your offer letter. If a payday falls on a weekend or bank holiday, you’re paid the preceding business day. Utah law (Utah Code § 34-28-3(1)) requires paydays at least semimonthly, and pay within 10 days after the close of the pay period. We meet both. What you’re told at hire
Utah law (Utah Code § 34-28-4) requires an employer to tell each employee, at hire, the rate of pay and the day and place of payment, and to give notice before either changes. Before your first day, you’ll receive in writing:- Your rate of pay (salary or hourly rate)
- Your pay schedule and first payday
- How any bonus is calculated and when it’s paid
- Your monthly benefits allowance, if your role has one
- Whether you’re exempt or non-exempt
