First 90 days
- Day 30: How’s it going. Systems, workflow, caseload ramp, what’s confusing, what’s missing. Mostly about what the practice can do better for you.
- Day 60: Progress against the ramp plan. Documentation quality. Early feedback both ways.
- Day 90: A fuller review. Are you where we both expected? What’s the plan for the next quarter?
Annual review
Once a year, on or near your anniversary, a written review covering:- Clinical quality, including documentation timeliness and audit results
- Client feedback and outcomes of any complaints
- Reliability: attendance, availability accuracy, communication
- Contribution to the practice: the touchpoint, SOPs, helping others
- Your goals and what you want next
- Compensation, where a change is being considered
Who conducts them
Helen, for clinicians. The practice manager, for front-office and administrative roles. The practice manager coordinates scheduling and keeps the records. What reviews are not
- Not the only time you’ll hear feedback. If something needs to change, you’ll hear it when it’s relevant, not months later.
- Not a promise of continued employment or a raise.
- Not a substitute for supervision, which is separate and clinical.
