Clients build their weeks around their session time. So does the front office. Reliability is part of the job.

Expectations

  • Be ready for your first session at its scheduled time, with the room or the telehealth link set up before the client arrives.
  • Keep your PracticeOS calendar accurate. If it’s on the calendar, you’re expected to be there.
  • For in-office days, be in the building at least 10 minutes before your first session.
  • Take your day off. Don’t come in on it.

If you’re going to be late or absent

Tell the front office and the practice manager as soon as you know, before your first session. A text through the practice’s channel is fine. Then the front office handles the clients. Never contact a client about a schedule change from a personal phone or email. See Devices, mobile, and texting.

Patterns

One late morning is life. A pattern is a conversation. If lateness or absence becomes regular, the practice manager will raise it with you, and it may lead to corrective action. Repeated no-call, no-show absences can be treated as resignation.

Schedule changes

Your four days are set at hire. Changing them permanently needs Helen’s approval and front-office coordination, because clients are booked around them. Occasional swaps for a specific week are fine with a few days’ notice.

Weather and emergencies

If travel is unsafe, telehealth from home is usually the answer. Tell the front office and we’ll convert your day. If the office is closed for an emergency, you’ll hear from the practice manager.
