# Equal Employment Opportunity

> Our commitment to fair treatment and reasonable accommodation.

The Healing Haven (Helen DeLovely LCSW PLLC) is an equal opportunity employer. We make employment decisions based on qualifications, performance, and the needs of the practice, and never on a protected characteristic.

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran or military status, pregnancy or related conditions, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.

This applies to every part of employment: hiring, pay, assignments, training, promotion, discipline, and separation.

## Accommodation

If you need a reasonable accommodation for a disability, a pregnancy-related condition, or a sincerely held religious belief, tell the practice manager. You don't need to use any particular words. We'll talk with you about what would help and what we can do, and we'll keep the conversation as private as we can.

## Affirming practice

We are an LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodivergent-affirming practice. That is a commitment to the people who work here as much as to our clients. Use people's names and pronouns. Assume good faith. If you're unsure, ask respectfully.

## If you believe this policy has been violated

Use the reporting path in [Anti-harassment, discrimination, and retaliation](/conduct/anti-harassment). You will not be retaliated against for raising a concern in good faith.

> **Why.** Some anti-discrimination laws only reach employers with 15 or more employees. We're smaller than that today. We follow this policy anyway, because it's how we want to work, not because a threshold makes us.
